Mid-Columbia Ear, Nose & Throat (MCENT) is a specialty medical practice devoted to improving the health and well being of patients within the field of ENT.  It was founded with the philosophy that patient needs come first, and the strong belief that treating individuals with dignity, respect, and compassion is vital to delivering the best care possible.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care through diligent attention to patient needs, while remaining true to our core values of integrity, hard work, and responsibility.  We continuously seek innovative ideas, adapt to changes and the latest advances in our field, and maintain close collaboration with other health-care providers, all in an effort to best serve the patient.  Our goal is to become the premier ENT practice in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas.

Randall S. Fong, M.D.

Born and raised in California, Dr. Fong attended the University of California, Irvine, where he received Bachelor of Science Degrees in Biology and Chemistry.  He received his Medical Degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin (formerly Marquette).  He remained there for his general surgery internship and thereafter his residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. 

His training included: general ENT, head and neck oncology, facial plastics and reconstruction, otology and pediatric ENT.  Right after completing his training, he moved to the Tri-Cities in 1995 where he has since been in private practice.

Dr. Fong is board certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolarygology-Head & Neck Surgery.  He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Washington State Medical Association, and the Benton-Franklin County Medical Society where he has served on the board of directors and as president.   He also served as chief of surgery at Kennewick General Hospital.

He is on staff at Kennewick General Hospital, Kadlec Medical Center, Lourdes Medical Center, and the Tri-Cities Regional Surgery Center.

He is a clinical faculty member for the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences.

Kelly A. Hofferber, Au.D., CCC-A

Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Hofferber studied at the University of Redlands in California, where she received both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science Degrees in Communicative Disorders.  She later received her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.

Dr. Hofferber practiced a broad scope of audiology while in Southern California for 10 years. She worked in several multispecialty medical clinics and ENT physician practice environments.  This provided a wide variety of experience including a high volume of pediatric patients as well as years of experience with providing amplification devices and  hearing aids for the hearing impaired.

She moved to the Tri-Cities where she has been practicing since 1998.  She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, has a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech and Hearing Association, and is a Licensed Audiologist in the State of Washington.
